T minus 1 week to first race!

So here we go!  We are totally getting excited for the trip to Florida coming up!  I appear to be the backup/support team.  I recognized early on that I don't belong in the garage while the dudes are 'rigging'....It's really tough for a girl to get some attention when the boys are excited over a shiny new Pugh boat!  Ugh.  So my job seems to be revolving around the "prep" work.  Right now I'm the grocery getter, the picture taker, the errand runner, the 'honey can you do us a favor....girl", etc.  We plan to start driving- yes I did say driving~ to Florida on Wednesday.   We have the box van all ready to pull the boat.  Myself, Roddy and our crew chief, Johnny will be taking turns driving/sleeping/eating/blogging.  The only thing I'm sad about is that our dog, Cayman, will not be on our trip.  He's an older golden retriever and we want to see how this one goes before he really makes the trek to a boat race as an official Foreman Racing Supporter!  Look for Cayman to represent later in the season.  Right now we have been doing final checks on the boat- it's working great (super fast!) and Roddy has been working out like a bandshi (sp) with AcufitRx and Brannon, one of his trainers.  He was worried that he needed to drop weight- now he's so fit we have to ADD weight...geez!
